Use Sparky from your AI assistant

Ask Claude for a plan draft from a job description & where in Skosh to act. Sparky answers from your own Skosh & never acts from the assistant.

What it is

Sparky answers questions from Claude. It reads only what the signed-in person's own Sparky can see: their day, their roles, a role's pipeline, replies waiting & whether their computer is on. It can also draft a plan for them to check.

Sparky's address for assistants is https://www.getskosh.com/mcp.

Turn it on for your company

AI assistants are off until an admin turns them on in Skosh: Admin › Connect › AI assistants. Any 1 admin can turn it on or off, & each change is logged.

Before turning it on, the admin confirms your company's Claude is on a business plan: Claude Team or Enterprise.

Connect from Claude

On Claude Team & Enterprise, a Claude Owner adds Sparky once for everyone. The Admin card has a link that fills it in.

Then each person connects their own account:

  1. In Claude, open Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector.
  2. Enter the address https://www.getskosh.com/mcp.
  3. Set Authentication to "Sign in now" & the OAuth client to "Use Claude's published identity".
  4. Click Add, then Connect.
  5. Sign in to Skosh & click Allow.

The Allow page

Every connection needs a tap on Allow on a Skosh page. Skosh never approves a connection on its own.

  • If your last Skosh sign-in is more than 12 hours old, Skosh asks you to sign in again first.
  • Referrers cannot connect an assistant.
  • The Allow page works only in the browser where the connection started.

What it can read

7 questions, all read only. Those marked "needs your computer" read from Sparky on a computer, which is retired, so they answer that they could not read it: open Skosh to see it. All of them are on whenever your company has AI assistants on; none is for admins only.

  • What needs you today: What waits for you in Skosh: replies waiting in the Inbox, a role's set-up still to finish, Sparky's pace checks, an email pause, your booking invites & calls (waiting, booked today or cancelled) & plans an AI assistant left for you to start.
  • Your roles: Each role's name & whether it is Live, Warming up, Planned or Parked, how many people Sparky found, how many replied & how many are booked.
  • A role's pipeline: How many people sit at each stage, & on request up to 25 people with their stage & last activity date. No profile links, contact details or notes. Needs your computer.
  • Replies waiting: Up to 20 candidate replies waiting for you: who, which role, what kind of reply & whether Sparky's draft is ready for your tap. Never the messages themselves. Needs your computer.
  • A draft plan to check: Proposed criteria for a role from a job description you paste: must haves, nice to haves, locations & open questions. Nothing is saved until you save it in Skosh.
  • Where to approve or send: The link to the page in Skosh where you send, approve, decide, move a candidate or change a setting.
  • Whether your computer is on: Whether a computer of yours is still linked & when it was last seen. Sparky on a computer is retired, & the answer says so.

What it never does

Sparky never sends, approves, decides, deletes or books from an assistant. Ask for any of these & it gives you a link to the right page in Skosh, where the tap happens. Skosh never scores people. Nothing Sparky gives an assistant is a score or a decision about a person.

Where answers go

Answers (role names, candidates' first names & last initials, reply status) go to that assistant's company under your company's plan with them.

What you ask & what Sparky answers is kept by the assistant's company under your company's plan with them. Use the work account your company approved.

Claude on your computer & VS Code can also connect. Claude on your computer connects only from the same computer it runs on, & VS Code answers go to whichever AI company you use in VS Code.

If your company uses Claude in Slack, Claude can post what Sparky tells it into a Slack channel when someone asks it there. Everyone in that channel can then see it.

Disconnect

  • Your own connection: in Skosh, open Settings › AI assistants & press Disconnect beside the assistant. It stops reading your Sparky right away.
  • 1 person: an admin presses Revoke beside them in Admin › Connect › AI assistants.
  • Everyone: an admin presses "Turn off", which stops every assistant & keeps the connections for later, or "Turn off & disconnect everyone", which also ends every connection.

Troubleshooting

  • "Connect Sparky again to keep reading it." Your sign-in ran out. Connect Sparky again from your assistant's connectors.
  • "Your company has turned off AI assistants in Skosh." An admin has to turn AI assistants on in Admin › Connect.
  • "Sparky on a computer is retired..." The rest of the sentence names what could not be read, such as this pipeline or your replies. Questions marked "needs your computer" read from Sparky on a computer, which is retired: open Skosh to see it.
  • "Sparky on a computer is retired, so this cannot be read from your assistant. Open Skosh to see it." The same: there is no computer to link, so open Skosh to see it.
